Paul Schwartz, DVM:
A native of New York, Dr. Schwartz graduated from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Following graduation, he joined an equine surgical practice in Maryland which led to an equine ambulatory practice in New York initially and then companion animals. In 1989, he and fellow graduate Gene Solomon opened the Center for Veterinary Care a small animal practice with good quality medicine and surgery. Dr Schwartz’s career has brought out special interests in cardiology and he has extensive training and experience in use of ultrasound and in orthopedic surgery and he is certified in tplo surgery and stem cell surgery. Center for Veterinary Care opened a practice in Millbrook for both companion animals and equine patients and Dr Schwartz sees patients there Wednesday through Saturday. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family skiing and deep sea diving. Dr Schwartz is currently involved in work with the Good Dog Foundation. |

Kim Roellke, DVM:
Originally from New York City, Dr. Kim Roellke recieved her BA from Wesleyan University and her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. She has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery for the past 17 years. Since moving to the Hudson Valley in 1998, Dr. Roellke has been active in providing veterinary care and first aid education for law enforcement canines and their handlers in Ulster, Dutchess and Putnam counties. She has a special interest in general medicine, soft tissue surgery and chronic pain management. In addition, Dr. Roellke serves as the Consulting Veterinarian for the Institution Animal Care and use Committe at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY. Dr. Roellke enjoys horseback riding, hiking and spending time with her husband and three children. |

Jeremy D. Frederick, DVM, DACVIM:
Dr. Frederick is a Board Certified specialist in Equine
Medicine and originally hails from our neighboring country to the North. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary
College in Guelph, Canada, he completed an internship at the University of
Minnesota in Large Animal Medicine, Surgery, and Ambulatory care. He decided to take a break from the snowy
north and spent three years at the University of Florida completing a residency
in Equine Internal Medicine. Dr. Frederick
has spent his professional career working in both the pleasure/performance and
race horse industries in Florida, Canada, and Australia and has been published
in multiple veterinary journals. He has
special interest in sport horse performance issues and will offer advanced
equine diagnostic and treatment to the Millbrook area. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys snowboarding,
ice hockey, and fishing and is always up for a good story and a pint. |
