Paul Schwartz, DVM:
Dr. Schwartz graduated from
University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation he joined an equine surgical practice in
Maryland. In 1989, he and fellow
graduate, Dr. Gene Solomon, opened the Center for Veterinary Care, a
companion
animal practice in New York City.
Dr. Schwartz has extensive
training and experience in diagnostic
ultrasound and
echocardiology.
He has a special interest in orthopedics and is certified in TPLO
surgery. Dr. Schwartz also provides minimally invasive
(laparoscopic) abdominal and thoracic surgical procedures for
his patients.
In 2005, Dr. Schwartz
established the
Center for Veterinary Care in Millbrook, NY,
providing high quality medical and surgical care for companion
and equine patients.
Over the last 20 years, Dr. Schwartz
has provided veterinary care in underdeveloped areas as a result
of which he has acquired a position practicing on veterinary
care in local practices. Last year, he rescued a litter of
native pot cake dogs from the Turks and Caicos Island and
successfully placed them in homes in New York. He is currently
involved in work with
The Good Dog Foundation. He is an avid snow skier and deep sea diver.
